Clean Water Indiana (CWI) is responsible for providing local matching funds as well as grants for sediment and nutrient reduction projects through Indiana’s Soil and Water Conservation Districts.
We were fortunate to receive a grant in 2018 to provide cover crops to farmers in Montgomery County.

Why use cover crops?
Cover crops reduce the loss of topsoil, reduces erosion, and improves water quality by reducing run-off of sediment, nutrients, and pesticides.
