With your help\, the forest understory will be filled with a diverse mix of plants that provide food and shelter to abundant wildlife. \n\n\n\nWe are partnering with NICHES land trust to run the War of the Weeds shifts this year at Bachner. This is NICHES single biggest annual volunteer push; if they can manage to fill every volunteer shift it will provide over a thousand volunteer hours during a critically important stewardship window.  \n\n\n\nThere are two shifts available to work on this day: 10-1\, 1-4. The clean-up starts April 22nd and will conclude May 1st. You pick the time\, day\, and place to pick up litter and debris along Sugar Creek. Take your gloves\, trash bag(s)\, and family or friends to any location along the creek and conduct your own cleanup. Crawfordsville Park and Recreation is placing a trash trailer located at the Rock River Ridge Trail Head Park so that you can deposit the trash collected. Please take a picture with your trash and post it on the Friends of Sugar Creek Facebook page or email it to canoe@friendsofsugarcreek.org and they will send you and your group a t-shirt! There are several places you can go to clean up. Coke Plant Launch on Lafayette Rd\, Sugar Creek Nature Trail on 231 N\, the Elston Park Ball Diamonds\, Darlington Covered Bridge\, Rock River Trail Head\, Bachner Preserve on Offield Road\, or if you own property along the creek.
